Your roof is the most exposed surface on your property and, for most homeowners, the least inspected. Moss, lichen and biological growth hold moisture against roofing material and accelerate deterioration. Blocked gutters redirect water into fascia, walls and foundations. Both are preventable with the right treatment on a regular schedule. Clean by Design is certified to work safely at heights. Roof work is not a service we approach casually.

How we clean roofs and gutters
We inspect the roof before work begins, noting tile condition, ridge capping, any cracked or displaced tiles, and the extent of biological growth. Biological treatment is applied first and allowed to work before any rinsing. Gutters are cleared of debris, downpipes checked for flow.
The Clean by Design team hold current certification in Working Safely at Heights. Roof cleaning is performed in accordance with NSW Work Health and Safety requirements.

Common questions
Do I need to be home while you clean my roof?
Not necessarily. We need safe access to the property and ideally a contact number in case we need to raise anything observed during the clean. If you prefer to be present, we accommodate that.
How long does a roof and gutter clean take?
Most residential properties take two to three hours. Larger roofs or those with significant moss and lichen accumulation take longer. We advise at quoting stage.
How often should gutters be cleaned?
At minimum twice per year, typically spring and autumn, for properties with tree canopy above or near the roofline. Properties without significant tree cover may manage with an annual clean.
Can you repair cracked or broken tiles?
Tile condition is noted and photographed during the clean. We do not carry out tile repairs, but we will document any issues clearly so you can arrange the right trade.
